The island of Molara is a granite outcrop of particular natural interest for the lush and unspoilt nature that covers it. Molara is a private island on which an exiled pope once lived; in the north-western part of the island there are the remains of an ancient church at Cala Chiesa. There is also a freshwater spring that provides life for the cattle on the island. Excursions are mainly to the natural pools of Molara.
