Discovering Bear Rock: a path between history and legend
An iconic symbol of Gallura: the Bear Rock, also known as Capo d'Orso, is one of Sardinia's most famous natural monuments. Located in the territory of Palau, this striking granite formation dominates the landscape with its unmistakable silhouette that, from a certain angle, resembles the figure of a bear.
Beach La Pelosa: where it is located
Beach La Pelosa is located in the municipality of Stintino, near Alghero in northern Sardinia. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia with its characteristic Aragonese tower, its proximity to Asinara and, of course, an enchanting sea. This is why it attracts visitors from all over the world who look forward to walking in the shallow waters and enjoying a swim in the transparent waters. However, its popularity leads to large crowds, especially during the summer season, which is why admissions are limited.
Beach reservation La Pelosa: how it works
Beach La Pelosa is a popular destination for thousands of locals and tourists. For this reason - precisely to protect the beauty of this place - access to the beach is limited

A maximum of 1,500 people may enter per day: from 01/06 to 31/10. Entrances are organised as follows:

Beach La Pelosa: Rules
The spiAggia La Pelosa is part of an ecosystem that must be protected. This is why the municipality of Stintino has prescribed a very simple regulation that bathers must abide by.
If you are a tourist on holiday, it is always better to know these little rules than to have to pay a fine or have to argue with other bathers or, worse, the local police or coastguards
# mat
We think little about it but... how much sand do we unintentionally take away from the beach? A lot! To protect the beach, therefore, it is necessary to put up wooden or plastic mats so that the sand does not stick to the towels.
If you forget to bring your mat, you can buy one at the entrance
# washing... feet!
always to preserve the beach and avoid unintentionally taking grains of sand with you, you must rinse your feet and personal belongings before leaving. It is not permitted to use soaps or various detergents
# animals
animals are allowed from 20:00 to 08:00
# dune
you can look at them, admire them, photograph them. It is forbidden to climb on them.
# no smoking
Many beaches in Sardinia have this prohibition. Smoking is not allowed on the beach, but you can smoke on the boulevard La Pelosa
Beach La Pelosa: parking
In the La Pelosa driveway you can find parking for your car.
The cost of parking is € 2.50/hour from 08:00 to 20:00.
It is possible to pay for parking thanks to the Easypark app. Simply enter your licence plate number and pay online by credit card. One of the advantages of paying with the app is that only the actual minutes of parking are charged, unlike the normal parking meter which charges the full hour.
Parking at Pelosa is paid for from June to September
